A dark timber residence with ink bamboo screens

This 641.4 m² (6,904 ft²) residence sets Eastern references within a calm modern frame. In the living room, ink-painted bamboo screens and blossoming branches sit against dark timber paneling and a textured white relief, while a black flue drops to an open fire bowl. A bedroom looks onto evergreens through a wide window, and a skylit lounge pairs a lattice-fronted bar and a mountain mural with a low ribbon of glazing onto the trees.
